The Stamp Review Crew - Festival of Trees

Welcome to the Festival of Trees Stamp Review Blog Hop.  We are a group of international Stampin' Up! demonstrators that showcase a different stamp set every 1st and 3rd Monday of the month.  One stamp set ... so many ideas!

It's been a while since I joined in with the crew as I don't buy a lot of Christmas stamps but the Festival of Trees set is in the annual catalogue and I had it in my stash from last year. Bonus!  I'm really looking forward to hopping along this round to see the variety of ideas for such a cute holiday stamp set.

If you get lost along the hop, just click on the banner below to see the order of participants for this round -

I only have one card to share with you today as it's that crazy time of the year and the weather has been incredibly HOT.  I made a flying easel card for a good friend who recently invited a few of us around for Christmas celebrations at her place.  I popped in a Village Cinemas Gift Card inside the vellum envelope (not pictured) so we could meet up over the summer for a Girl's Night Out.

Mini Photo Tutorial

2nd largest star framelit

Cut 2 stars using the largest and second largest star framelits.
Glue the two stars back to back and attach some gold thread in between the top point.
Stamp four trees, fold each one in half and glue together.  Place the thread in the last fold and glue down.

I know what you mean about HOT! It was crazy here in Vic over the weekend! 42c isn't fun with out aircon! I love your project Brownyn! The 3-D tree in the middle of the star is so clever! The vellum gift card envelope is fantastic. Have a wonderful Christmas and a Happy New Year! Rochelle xo

Gorgeous card!! Thank you for the tutorial too. I think a gift card to the theater is a perfect gift, especially if they keep your theater as cold as they keep ours :)
